Words Can Build Worlds (and my personal struggle with Dyslexia)


"As a boy, I was deathly afraid of reading aloud in class. I made mistakes — all the time. I couldn’t keep the words in order. I’d jump to the next sentence too soon. My eyes would skip to the end of the sentence, or the next paragraph, or the next page. I’d start to read a sentence backwards. I couldn’t read like the others. It was awful....
